Myopia Management

Our doctors are certified to fit Coopervision Misight myopia control contact lenses. If your child has trouble seeing far away (nearsightedness, known as myopia), you can correct AND help protect their vision from getting worse as they grow! Meet MiSight® 1 day* soft contact lenses specifically designed for myopia control and FDA approved* to slow the progression of myopia in children ages 8-12 at the initiation of treatment. But treatment is not limited to these ages and we often continue treatment past 12 years of age.

Dr. Chen is certified to fit Abiliti myopia control lenses. Abiliti Overnight lenses are orthokeratology contact lenses worn overnight to temporarily reshape the cornea, allowing clear vision during the day without correction. Each lens is specifically designed to fit each patient's unique eye shape.

How do they work? Each lens is designed to purposely flatten the shape of the cornea by applying a slight pressure to the center of the cornea while the patient is asleep, resulting in a temporary reduction of myopic power.

Essilor® Stellest® lens is one of the newest generation of myopia controlling spectacle lenses, appearing to have efficacy to slow myopia progression in children at least as good as the current 'best' interventions of orthokeratology, dual-focus soft contact lenses and 0.05% atropine. Both of our doctors have been fitting these lenses since they were authorized in the US at the end of 2025.
